Start with your tasks
Choose a computer for training and the type of dives for which you are already prepared. Make a list of required features and discuss it with your instructor or consultant. A longer list of modes does not in itself make the model suitable for you.
Shearwater has computers of different formats. It is more convenient to compare them by specific characteristics and manuals, rather than by external similarity.
Screen and controls
Evaluate the readability of the screen, the size of the numbers, the location of the buttons and the ease of mounting. The small body is comfortable for everyday wear, and the large screen can be more convenient for reading data. It's better to check it in person.
Check the dimensions of the strap, the possibility of replacement and the included charging accessories. Accessories for different models are not always interchangeable.

- Air integration support and list of compatible transmitters if needed.
- Log transfer method and application requirements.
- Service conditions and spare parts available.
